CREED-21 v. City of San Diego (2010)

CREED-21 v. City of San Diego (2010)

Reason for Suing: CREED-21 sued the City of Chino because it amended its general plan without having a legally enforceable climate action plan to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions and minimize air pollution, in violation of the California Environmental Quality Act.

Outcome: The judge issued a tentative ruling in CREED-21’s favor, at which point the City settled and updated its plans.

Documents: Superior Court Complaint; Notice of Tentative Ruling.
