Reason for Suing: Ian Trowbridge sued the Southeastern Economic Development Corporation (one of the City of San Diego’s redevelopment agencies) because SEDC’s governing board terminated the agency’s executive director and promised to pay her a severance payment that was higher than the law allowed.

Outcome: Mr. Trowbridge won and obtained an injunction against the illegal payment.
