San Diegans for Open Government v. City of San Diego (Bahia Hotel) (2018)

Reason for Suing: San Diegans for Open Government sued the City of San Diego after its planning director deleted a provision in the Mission Bay Park Master Plan that required Gleason Road, adjacent to the Bahia Hotel, to be maintained for public access to the Bay.  The Bahia Hotel is seeking permission to expand its facility and eliminate Gleason Road.  The planning director deleted Gleason Road from the Master Plan in secret, without any prior notice to the public.

Status: The lawsuit is still pending.
